Let’s say you enjoy history. Taking a motorcycle through New Mexico is stunningly beautiful as well as exciting. You can see Lincoln County, the area that Billy the Kid wreaked havoc on the local populace. If you like roughing it, you can ride your bike into the mountains of Cloudcroft and camp out under the stars, with your trusty ride (bike, not horse)right next to you. In the area, you can visit an Apache reservation called Riodosa, where you can try the gambling tables, then head to Roswell, where the famous UFO crashed in 1947 and there is now a UFO Museum.

Once you’re done with aliens, you can tour the Robert Goddard Museum, named after the famous pioneer of rocket science. His experiments were performed in and around the deserts near Roswell. A quick spin on your bike will bring you to Albuquerqe where you can visit the Air Force Base in addition to the White Sands testing ground for rockets. There is no end to the interesting things to see and do in New Mexico by bike. Try not to miss Santa Fe with its interesting Native American regions.

Las Vegas is a great stopover for a biker. If you like to gamble, this is the mecca, but even if you don’t, there are great restaurants and fabulous shows to see. After you visit Las Vegas, most people consider it almost mandatory for a true biker to visit Sturgis, the biker haven in North Dakota. This is a famous biker town where all the residents make bikers feel welcome. Have one of the famous root beers and get a Sturgis t-shirt. This will make it a true motorcycle vacation and a real treat. So jump on your machine and go!

As the friction is minimized, these bikes can attain high speeds within seconds with very little effort. A word of caution – as the amount of friction is lessened on the bike tires; stability of these bikes also comes under scanner. They are less steady as compared to mountain bikes (which depend a lot on stability and road grip due to the terrain on which they are used).
